19000 miles driven since start of restoration in 1997. About £11000 spent on restoration. Still in excellent condition.
Cheap top-down motoring, with that lovely V8 growl! Cheap to insure as a second car on a classic limited mileage policy.

Professional body restoration in 1997, stripped to bare metal and painted in pearlescent Tahiti Blue. About £7000 spent on that alone.
New (1997) 3.9L short engine (block, crank, pistons, camshaft). Cleaned up and machined for fuel injection heads from earlier V8 engine, believed to have had inlets polished by previous owner about 50000 miles ago. Plenum and fuel injection system from 1992 Range Rover. K&N air filter.
3.08:1 rear axle, modified from standard TR7 axle by previous owner about 50000 miles ago.
Tubular stainless manifolds and stainless exhaust system, all from previous owner about 50000 miles ago, except I have needed new (1997) link pipes and new (2002) H section (the bit with the front boxes). The system is what the Rimmers catalogue claims is the quietest one of the three they sell.
New starter motor and alternator sometime in the last 5 years.
Electric fan setup uses original equipment aircon TR8 bracket and two fans from scrapped Fiestas, and is wired for two speeds from two temperature sensors like the aircon TR8.
New (1997) Rimmers "big brake kit number 3". New (1997) uprated brake master cylinder and servo from S&S.
New (2001 or 2002) professionally fitted original style black hood.
Five 15" alloy wheels from Montego, tyres were replaced and now have 19000 miles on them (spare never used).
Black padded roll over bar.
New (1998) windscreen.
Retrimmed in black, with black leather seats. Seat foams and diaphragms also renewed (2002).
New (2002) CD player feeding new (2004) speakers in the original mounts in the doors.
Original mileage unknown. I bought the car from someone who had just done a V8 conversion on it (3.5L with SUs), and I did 28000 miles between then and starting the restoration.
Will throw in a small number of spare parts I've got, plus most copies of TR Driver since about 1990 or 1992.
